Dr. Abikhaled is an amazing gynecologist MD. She has great skills along with being very nice and down to earth with a great sense of humor. She skillfully diagnosed my problems and performed a total hysterectomy robotically on me and I had a super easy recovery. I highly recommend her!! She also has her own ultrasound and mammogram machines in her office!! She’s the BEST!! 😍

Somehow I was assigned two different gyno appmts, one for Dec and one for Jan 2024 and ARC scheduler could not tell me how Dr. Shannon Abikhaled was assigned to me. After seeing her as my first appmt, I know it was a God wink to reassure me that I am not alone and that everything is going to be just fine with me. She was professional and knowledgeable yet compassionate and relatable. I felt heard and at peace in her gentle presence. I highly recommend her and will remain with her.

Dr. Abikhaled is a true gem of a physician. I was referred by a friend who has been going to her for years and she had nothing but glowing things to say and they were all correct. I have never felt so cared for, listened to, and supported by a doctor. I originally went to see Mary Brown in the same office (also a delightful experience) but needed surgery so moved over to Dr. Abikhaled. My family has a pretty extensive medical history and I have definitely had appointments with other doctors in the past where I felt unheard and unseen. Dr. Abikhaled takes her time, listens intently, explains things clearly, and just in general treats you as valuable human being. Also, her staff has been nothing but great along the way as well.

Dr.Abikhaled is my favorite OBGYN I have ever had. She is knowledgeable, kind, gets personal with you and shows. When I go to my visits I feel like she talks and cares for me like I am family. Busy office but you never feel rushed by her or her staff. Her PA Ashley has also seen me a few times and she is just as wonderful. Even after I moved to San Antonio over a year ago I still drive to Austin to see her as my doctor!!

I’ve been a patient here for almost 20 years, and I’ve very much enjoyed the care they provide. Their practice is organized and professional, and I always feel comfortable that they are making the best decisions possible for me as a patient. They always listen to my concerns and strive to find solutions, and I’ve always found them to be open to modifying treatment avenues or procedure prep to make the experience go smoothly for me. Even on the rare occasion that something hasn’t gone as I hoped it would in regard to my response to treatment/a procedure, they have been receptive to concerns and taken steps to make me comfortable - I’d certainly recommend their practice to anyone I know.

While I used to love Dr. A, her care this year has been very lacking. She forgot me in the exam room and 35 min in, I poked my head out and told her assistant that I think I have been forgotten. She said that she is running late bc she had an emergency phone call this am. But I knew she skipped me over-which she said she made a mistake and did. I took her apology and just chalked it up to it happens. But irritation came when she failed to respond to a message, I messaged again after a week, I was ignored once again. Then two weeks later I get a response that was short regarding results and she didnt even answer my question. Now I find out she put in a script for me that I did not need from her and it has screwed up my previous compounded script.

Dr. Abikhaled was calm in the storm when I was experiencing uncertain conditions related to my health. She has always been professional, highly informed and incredibly kind and open. Although I no longer live in Austin, I am willing to travel across the state to receive the care and expertise she gives. Would highly recommend Dr. Abikhaled!

Dr. Abikhaled was friendly but very brief. I left feeling like I hadn’t really accomplished or with any new knowledge of my condition. One of her statements was to lose weight but never proceeded to tell me how I can accomplish it in a healthy way due to my relationship with eating disorders.It was brief and I feel I would have been more satisfied had someone taken time to help guide me to a successful treatment option. She was very kind though.

Shannon made me feel so comfortable, was clear and precise when giving information. The receptionists were welcoming and my nurse Addison was the sweetest. If you’re nervous about seeing a doctor this is the place to come to. Very thankful to have found them.

She delivered my son with ease and she listened to me mid-surgery when I expressed my concern for scarring with my C-section as I tend to scar really bad (keloid). She said, no problem, you wont have that problem with they way I will suture you up. Sure enough, 3.5 years later, you cant even see the scar and my abdominal cavity came together just fine and I didnt even feel like I had a C-section. Ladies, shes the best. Highly recommend.

Dr. Abikahked is basically Wonder Woman! I don’t know how she does it. She helped deliver my baby 2 years ago and completed a wonderful unexpected C section leaving almost no scar or recovery pain. She recently treated me in the hospital for an ovarian torsion which was extremely painful. She was caring. It was clear she was busy and constantly working but was still attentive and kind. I don’t know how she juggles everything.

I’m now 32 weeks pregnant and have had fantastic service at the Women’s Health Texas office throughout my entire pregnancy. Today, 8/23 I had a scheduled appointment at 8am with Dr. Shannon Abikhaled and unfortunately was not seen. I had been waiting in the private room for about 30 minutes, my fiancé and I became concerned because typically with our regular Dr. Kish, she is always prompt and on time! We had asked the nurse when we should expect to see Dr. Abikhaled and she said doctor was on her way from the hospital (walking the breeze way) and we would be seen in a few minutes. We waited another 15 minutes and still no doctor. Unfortunately, we left the appointment. I felt as if my appointment was not important to her. I’m very disappointed. I had another appointment scheduled on 9/6 and rescheduled to see my regular doctor, Dr.Kish.

Dr Abhikaled is a fantastic gynecologist who treats the whole payient and does not only consider the medical facts. She takes her time to really listen. Plus she is an amazing surgeon! So happy to be in her care!
