It smells really really good in this office. The receptionist were knowledgeable. It’s a small location, but it’s very clean, inviting and welcoming. The doctor made me feel very comfortable and relaxed. I was in and out of the office in less than 30 minutes.

My friend Sara recommended this place and I just gotta say, wow. AWESOME clinic. Dr. P was SO charming and sincere and sweet, and really took her time to listen and not rush like most doctors. also of course shout out to nurse Kiana for her professionalism, the quickness, and wonderful attitude get that girl a raise. I’m incredibly pleased with the wonderful experience I had at Urban Wellness Physicians. My provider was N.P Bianca J, who was more than great. She was kind, caring, compassionate, thorough and listened to my concerns attentively. She explained everything in detail, a true consummate professional. There’s no doubt I’d return if and when necessary and hope Bianca J is there as I would love to have her as my provider again. Highly recommend.

Honestly I was skeptical when I saw the waiting room, but had a great experience. An assistant took me back and did a thorough questionnaire and took detailed notes, took my vitals, and I saw the doctor quickly who took the time to answer all my questions. So don’t be put off by the scruffy appearance, I definitely recommend. Thanks!

It was my First Time at this Doctors Office and I have to Say it was the Best Experience I had going to the Doctor in a Very Long Time. Everybody I Dealt with from the Receptionist to the Nurses to the Medical Assistant was very attentive and Patient and very Down to Earth. Very Respectful and Professional. My first visit was very frustrating and disappointing. I came for an annual check up for blood work. I explained to the nurses I have small and difficult veins to find. I was poked several times for blood and they were not able to collect enough blood to complete the entire physical. They instructed me to find to a vein specialist, which Ive never been suggested to do before. I never experience this type of service before and I have been going to doctor all my life. This urgent care medical facility needs to hire real nurses to get the job done correctly, properly and professionally.

The lady doctor is very patient and gives a lot of information. Front desk is polite as well…Definitely will return when need to see a doctor again . I give them five stars.

Violation of privacy as if you leave a bad review they will look up your patient charts to get your number. Some of the staff are great but waiting times sometimes take forever. If you have a scheduled appointment you should be seen then especially if you’ve checked in early. Changed my name so I can stay confidential

I was taken in fast 💨 I had like maybe a 15/20min wait but got in real quick the doctor has heard me tell her what I’m going threw and left there with good feeling that everything will be alright but I had to change my primary doctor in order to see her but okay.✅ yes I would go back there again because it was easier and closer to get there but then again I do tend to move.

The doctor didn’t take me seriously, and i felt like he was trying to speed through my session so he could clock out. i explained i had serious body aches and he asked if i had tried tylenol…. why would i come all the way to urgent care if an over the counter pill could help me?? won’t be going back.

It was easy and quick as a new patient. The waiting room was empty and tidy waiting room. The care from both a nurse and a nurse practitioner was thorough, kind, and pleasant. Thank you Bianca!

I also do not appreciate the insinuation that I would carelessly leave a bad review for the wronginstitution.They cut off patients hours before they close. This is a repeated issue. I recommend calling ahead to ask if they’re still taking patients, because the answer is often no

This is one of the worst facilities Ive been to. Dr. Short has an awful bed side manner and made multiple misdiagnoses in addition to not running a full suite of tests on me that more than one other provider told me I shouldve received for my condition. I would run, not walk, from this place.

Shaniece, Odalis, and Bianca are the dream team. Always so kind, respectful, and professional. Getting blood drawn/getting injections is usually a little nerve racking, but not here! They are pro phlebotomists and healthcare workers overall. Thanks for serving our neighborhood!P.s. be mindful of the door, it slams pretty easily!

This urgent care was in network for Aetna. The front desk staff was great. Truly professional and caring. I went in for a COVID test. Will always use them when the need arises.

I cannot recommend Urban Wellness Physicians. From scheduling appointments to addressing concerns, their service is truly exceptional. They handled my daughters blood draw with kindness and professionalism, making the experience as comfortable as possible. Absolutely phenomenal care all around.

My first time there and to the doctor in long time the people and the doctor was really nice and friendly I was really relax

This was my first time going there but as they say about first impressions. This was one of the best first impressions Ive had in just about any medical facility Ive ever been to. The staff is super friendly and sweet and go above and beyond to assist all their patients. Not a patient and need help finding a primary? Not a problem. What usually ends in an annoying back and forth over the phone, was swiftly taken care of in about 5 minutes along with a same day appointment that was conducted less than 10 minutes later. I dont know how the rest of my experience will be, but if its anything like this, I hope to continue to be a patient with them for a while to come.

Feeling bamboozled. Trusted this office to solve an immediate emergency issue for me it’s been about 2 weeks to no solution and the staff who pick up the phone are very unaware and ditzy. If everytime I speak I have to repeat the same thing over and over who is actually taking notes in the charts of the facts. I’m unaware of who is really the supervisor because over the phone I’ve spoken with 2 different people one male one female who claims to be the supervisor and chief exec , none of which have been able to solve this issue. It is important since I am too far along in pregnancy to find a new gyn easily.these ppl are pcp’s the job isn’t rocket science and I’ve made it simple. It’s frustrating dealing w inconsistency and people who have no idea of the facts

I didnt know what to expect with the terrible insurance that I have but this has got to be the worst medical facility that I have ever been in. There was paper work to be filled out prior to my first visit which I had expected so I arrived early.The staff was very pleasant and that is why this place gets one star. The wait was 40 minutes to be seen. I was there for a annual check up and to have blood work done. The desk attendant was the same person to take my vitals and draw blood, which I will get to in a second.The physician came in and didnt check anything. She stated the same information that I gave to the attendant and did not monitor my heart, breathing, reflexes, abdomen or check my ears and throat or any of the things that a doctor should be checking, especially at my age of 42.I am diabetic so I did let them know that I would need blood work done to check my A1C. Well, the attendant couldnt find a vein- even though I directed her to use the same arm and vein I have been using for over 20 years. On top of that she was clean but messy and you could tell that she hasnt been doing this long, so I am not holding this against her. However, the physician came in to draw blood and couldnt find a vein either and when she stuck me with the needle for the 4th time, it worked- from my hand! That is so painful. They tried to blame it on lack of hydration, but I drink 3 or more liters of water a day and I was not dehydrated. Then they said it could be high blood sugar, but when my blood results came back my blood sugar was within desired range.They also did not put in all of my prescriptions that was needed, so I have to call back to do this. How inconvenient???To make matters worse, they called me to give my test results for blood work and my cholesterol- which is usually high-came back low, so because of my experience I am not sure that I trust the results. Not to mention, another physician called me, not the one that I saw during this appointment.I could also hear everything being said from the room next door, so there is not privacy. You need to fix this!

The staff is extremely warm and welcoming. Dr Khan is very patient, transparent, thoughtful and thorough! Did I mention they’re very affordable?! If you’re paying out of pocket, look no further than Urban Wellness Physicians!

I went in very sick with a fever. The doctor (a man) barely looked at me before saying, “you could have a brain bleed” - because I had a terrible headache. I repeatedly asserted that it felt exactly like I did when I had COVID in the past, and described experiencing COVID symptoms as well. He kept harping on the brain bleed and attempted to send me to an ER without even checking me. Deeply lacking in empathy. The nurses did a very incompetent job at taking samples for a flu and covid test - and they NEVER got back to me with the results, not via email and not via call. I tested positive for COVID at home three days later. Such poor bedside manner from the medical professionals who seemed to only care about the money they were making by quickly getting patients in and out, without providing any decent medical care. So deeply disappointing.

My first time visiting urban wellness physicians and The whole staff was amazing. From when I called and Silvia the medical assistant was truly helpful over the phone, when I walked in I felt welcomed and the other medical assistant Odalys was extremely helpful, I went in for my annual physical and odalys made sure I felt welcomed and comfortable I didn’t even feel the needle go in and to me that’s a big deal just to mention she’s really good at drawing blood. The doctor Melissa was really good and helpful, will definitely recommend and will be back.

So today I called AG urgent care thats up the block from this location, I asked them if they had a certain vaccination in stock that my son needed. The receptionist said yes. I then asked her if I could walk in with my son today and get it, she said yes. I arrived at that particular urgent care and after waiting for an hour n a half, I was told that I had to come back on Wednesday because the pediatrician that administer the vaccine was not in. I was livid as I had just called and asked before arriving if I could BRING my SON, a clear indication that hes a child, and I also said it was for school vaccinations. A clear waste of my time. As I was leaving I happened to pass Urban Wellness Center and decided to try my luck. Imagine my surprise as I was called straight to the back. I didnt even waste a fraction of the time I spent at the other urgent care thats one block up from here. The nurses and the doctor was extremely nice. The Dr made my son feel comfortable about getting his needle and everything went smoothly. Complete night and day from the dreadful location we had just left. They now have a forever patient for all my urgent care needs.

From check in, to checking vitals, to bloodwork, to consultations with Doctors, everyone shows patience and care. The place was empty because I went late on a Sunday. No wait and the front desk staff was really nice. The front desk young lady took my vitals and other information before the doctor came in. No biggie. The doctor, Dr. Timothy was ok but not really personable, no biggie. I was not able to get my medicine so that’s why the three stars. So, I have pink eye and no meds smh. Not a bad experience tho. Just make did your medicine is able to be received.

I had a great experience at Urban Wellness Physicians. Immediately from when I walked in I was acknowledged and greeted. The receptionists are so kind and quick with making sure you as a patient are serviced for whatever it is you may need. They also give you information about what may be best for you or give you a referral if needed. Proceeding to the actual physicians, they are amazing, very friendly and diligent workers. They make you feel very comfortable before doing anything. Great to have them in the neighborhood.

Absolutely excellent experience. First off, I have never been there before and as I walked in the team rushed and open the door for me…. They then rushed to get me in and correct an insurance error and handled it immediately. The nurse Shaquia and the Doctor Laura were thorough and patient while being efficient. The front desk team, Victoria and Tameeka (door open fee) were charming and welcoming. Like most New Yorkers I don’t have an official primary care doctor. The folks here are AMAZING! I don’t have insurance and I’d been battling a worsening cough for four weeks. I went in without an appointment on a Sunday morning, they saw me right away, gave me a checkup, and prescribed me antibiotic that they sent to the pharmacy immediately. It was ready for pickup within the hour. Affordable out-of-pocket cost for the examination, especially with using the GoodRX app for the medication at the pharmacy afterward. Everyone was so kind and knowledgeable and helpful, I truly felt cared for here! In and out in like 45 minutes. Definitely will be going back for all my future doctor’s visits needs.

Everyone here is extremely nice, from the front desk to the examination room. They explained everything that they were doing beforehand and made me feel very welcomed and safe, and let me know that during my wait I could reach out and ask for anything, and they even gave me water while I waited. Everyone here is so friendly. Never had any trouble checking in and getting seen by a doctor. The staff is very calm and funny which is appreciated because it takes some of the stress away by being lighthearted. Would recommend!

It’s always hard to go someplace when you’re feeling sick or injured or just need to get something checked out. I’ve been here a few times for testing and have some particular needs when it comes to various exams. My anxieties were heard, my conditions understood, and I felt safe and comfortable. Even after fainting last year post test 🙃 I would travel to come here for help if I needed to. The kindness is unmatched.

I really love the fact that I was able to walk in and get my services that I needed it it was fast easy and very very convenient! Medical assistance at the front desk was very attentive do my needs and the things that I needed help with so I can go back to work. So I decided to make that my PCP!!
