1st Care Family Medical Clinic

Visited this urgent care for a strep throat. The visit was actually not bad, it was quick and easy, nothing that would make me say I’d love to come back to this place but also not terrible, so no complaints there. However, when I received the bill for my visit, I paid it within two weeks through my insurance’s website which sent a check to their main office in Phoenix. I continued to receive invoices though up until the point they’re about to send me to collections as stated on the invoice, even though I paid this months ago. I called the number on the invoice (their Phoenix office) and they confirmed they received the payment. When they transferred me to this location to confirm this payment twice, the girl on the phone with a condescending tone continued to state it would get escalated to her manager, I was never contacted. On the second phone call, she tells me her manager will take care of it but next time I needed to go into their office as if THEY ARE DOING ME A FAVOR for doing their job and not having better systems. TERRIBLE SERVICE!Reply to your comment below since I cannot reply directly: You guys really have some nerve with these responses. My insurance DID pay you guys, your other office in Phoenix confirmed it so it is YOUR fault you don’t have better systems. I have proof of the times I have called you, l have the receipts, and took screenshots for this specific reason 😊 so try again. And regardless of what this person said to me over the phone, it is her tone that made all the difference which was incredibly condescending. You really just made yourselves look worse with this response. Get some training on customer service and do better! Shame on you for not taking any accountability!

Dr. Ruth and her staff are awesome. They give me the best medical care.

Took me in as a walk in. I didnt wait long. Dr. Ruth reviewed my symptoms, recommended a solution and got me on my way. I would recommend her.

Love this place, no long wait times. When you need to be seen they get you in.

Dr Ruth is Absolutely the Worst NP I have ever Encountered & I’m 65 years old. 5 minutes late bc my medical ride was 45 minutes late. Called them & they said no problem. She had another appointment elsewhere after me. So 10 rushed minutes of her uncaring time with 2 others asking?s & doing procedures at the same time!! Appointment was for Women Wellness visit/bloodwork & ear cleaning. No Well visit bc she said my appointment was stated as a follow up. No bloodwork bc I ate a baloney sandwich. I had asked b4 if I could eat & they checked with her & said yes. Didn’t finish my ear cleaning bc it would take too long. Never had a Dr not finish my issues bc it was closing time! Not at all concerned with my recent 4th stroke & just said have Hope that you get better. Really?! There are no meds or surgeries to get better. She said pray to God. Really? I’m a Buddhist. Totally Self Righteous with her personal opinions & not medical help/which is what she’s getting paid for. Got a new NP the next day

The only Drs office visit that will see you anytime any day without an appointment. The NP Ruth is so nice she listened to all my needs wiyhout hurrying me up. And the girl in the front she was so nice and dang she knows how to multi task, she checked me in and less then 2 minutes she was ready to room me to see the dr . I will be recommending my family and friends to come here

It was good to be treated with professionalism and care when I saw Ruth. Also the friendly staff has been very helpful through my medical process. I would highly reccomend this facility to anyone that is looking for a caring provider. They have Great customer service, I never have to wait a long period of time before they take me back.

Completely clueless NP Ruth Hoskins repeatedly gave me the wrong prescriptions and refused referrals I had been asking for pertaining to issues Ive had for over a decade. I strongly recommend you find care elsewhere where they can provide you service without the use of their smart phone to google how to help you. The one star goes to the staff as she deserves none.

I have been to this clinic a few times now very nice staff polite. I did have a litte struggle getting my covid test results but I blame the holiday week. I then had to get another test to fly out of the country and again another holiday. I did not have time to wait and I had the best ever experience with one awesome guy Mr Juma who made it very convenient for us to get the results. Now days people don’t go out of there way to help others and I’m so impressed by this gentle man I wish we could have his service everywhere. Thank you sorry so long. So so impressed

Ruth listens to you she doesnt push drugs that she wants to give you.. she knows you know your body and what works and doesnt work... She has common sense and I trust her..she will help in any way she can..

I had an appointment scheduled for 2:2:45I show up at 2:30 to fill out my paperwork (as the front desk rep advised) i wait until 3 thinking they would call me,until i went to the front to ask whats taking too long and shes just talking and texting and she says oh your insurance covers everything and $30 please for a service fee i paid and had to wait another 45 minutes just to get swabbed. And i get sent to get my blood drawn . now the map they gave me is outdated. 3 different locations were permanently closed and i had to drive to san tan valley for nothing.This is one of my worst customer service ive gotten .

I went to this clinic because I needed medication fast. I asked for two different types to deal with two different issues. I was given two prescriptions for the same issue and it made me sick. The pharmacist was confused as to why I got those two medicine and advise me to be careful. I had to go to urgent care and was not able to go to work because I got so sick. Sure enough both medicines together should not have been taken.

I am one of many Im sure that have followed Ruth Hoskins to her new location. The office is lovely - clean and cheerful. The staff who support her in Mesa are superb!

Wonderful, friendly staff. I was taken back and seen very quickly. Ruth was a nice provider. I will definitely go back and will recommend them to my family and friends.

I came here for myself at first and the treatment was so excellent I switched to Dr ruth hoskins and also for my kids and my husband !!

They provide Covid Rapid testing only for travelers. You will NOT get Covid tests back within “24-48 hours” like they tell you when you call.

I went in today as a walk in [637 east main st mesa az]- was told that they were really busy - i got that - then i started filling out the forms - so that it would be easier when i returned - the young woman behind the desk said that if i could wait they would be able to get me in - i chose to do that - whew what a good choice i made - yes it was not instant i had to wait - and it was well worth the wait - i recently went to washington state and in the 3 months i was there i was not treated as well as i was as a walk in at a clinic i knew nothing about and knew nothing about me- i have lived in washington state 30+ years - thank you 1st care for hiring only the best

The Staff and Doctor there actually care about your health, They Actually Take there Hippocratic Oath Seriously! I Loved The Doctors There, I was Sad that I had to move away from seeing them

Told me they took my insurance but billed me 6 months later with all my payments then told me they didn’t take my insurance.

Not good service, the doctor never examined my swollen finger and told me something that I didnt have. Very unprofessional I do not recommend this place apart from the consultation being very expensive my people do not go to this place
