Please follow the law and pass on medical records when they are requested appropriately. I am going to make noise and advocate for this, it is a recognized issue that needs resolution for current and future patients. This issue is important because successful health is not able/promoted when the continuity of care cannot happen with this clinic holding medical records/documents that are requested from you. Maybe you are short staffed, maybe you should hire more staff, or allow opportunities for internships so your legal obligations are not ignored. Thank you for your attention to this matter.
This clinic has poor communication between departments. My calls are never returned, prescriptions are not refilled in 3 days, imaging requisitions are not forwarded to the hospital for scheduling. The staff and doctors act agitated when I call or go in. The doctor doesnt even touch me during an exam. Dont go here!
Strange how when I walk in I feel like Im at the DMV instead of a welcoming medical facility. I have to take a ticket number just to check in. Of course all medical facilities care about is making money.
I called and asked if they were accepting new patients, they told me they were so I updated my primary care with insurance. Ask to fill out new patient intake forms. You have to come in. I have chronic pain and no car could you fax or email it to me? No you have to come in to fill out the paperwork. So I come in and ask for the paperwork. Were not accepting new patients right nowWhat a joke.
I really liked it here when I first came but its all different now. I feel like I dont matter to them. I dont feel heard. I went in with a medical issue and the diagnosis the doctor put down was way off base. It was nothing like I told them it was. They just decided on their own what it was which was wrong and they didnt even listen to me. Im thinking of filing a complaint.
Ive had a few very negative interactions with the ppl employed at this clinic. Quite some time ago, I was treated as if I were drug seeking. I even overheard the provider that saw me in urgent care, talking derogatory about me to the nurses, telling them that she told me all I was getting was a toradol shot, as she laughed. The nurse that then followed up with the shot was rude. I even had to ask for a sling for my arm. X rays and MRI revealed my shoulder was broken, and my rotator cuff and bicep were both so badly torn that surgery was necessary to repair the damage. Now, instead of continuing with my current thyroid meds script and working with me around my transportation issues and other hurdles, Ive been denied any refills. That medication and dosage has been working for me for YEARS and there was no indication that it needed to be adjusted. Denial of that medication can actually cause some really serious health issues, INCLUDING DEATH. Ive included screenshots from a very reputable site and checkmarks next to the symptoms Im now suffering from due to the denial of the medication. Note that I did highlight where it states that levels SHOULD be checked annually but nowhere does it state to stop the medication, if such tests cannot be performed (for any reason whatsoever). This site will not post them in the correct order so Ive numbered them in the order they should appearIm giving them 3 stars because I do actually like my current provider there and Im aware that she is a nurse practitioner, limited by clinic policy or guidelines and the instruction of the supervising physician. If it werent for her, I would give them 1 star.
I haven’t even started going to the clinic and when I went in to get the initial paperwork I asked if a specific doctor was accepting new patients and they said yes. When I went back to submit the paperwork instead of a receptionist helping me (it was close to closing time) a lady came out from the back and said she could help me. She was incredibly rude to me and seemed to be extremely bothered that I asked about the same doctor who I was previously told was accepting new patients. She said he was one of the directors so there would be no way he would be seeing me. Very derogatory and purposeful said in a way to make me feel bad. So when I asked about who I would be getting as a doctor and when I could schedule she said it would be months before I could get in and that they would call me and not to call them. It’s been a week and I have not received a call. I’m going to be looking elsewhere for care because I don’t want to be treated like this.
How funny(???)I wtote a review and posted it, a few daze ago, but its NOT here!MENTAL HEALTH???Yeah, right!I will sum it up:CAITLIN MACLAURIN is THE reason people self medicate! Two years of my life are GONE and Im worse off now than when I started! What a waste of (my) timeTHANKS LADY. THANKS ALOT!Oh, and stop calling me JOANNE. Its NOT my name!
This clinic refuses to accept certain patients without providing logical or reasonable explanations. It was such a waste of time talking with them. It doesn’t surprise me that this clinic already has poor ratings. Sad!
Ive been going here for about 4 years now and I highly recommend them though sometimes it can be difficult to have things scheduled or policies update and notices so, being a US medical clinic its pretty decent.
While my doctor and team have taken excellent care of me, my boyfriend’s care team not only has refused to treat his anxiety multiple times, but took him off much needed medications without any comparable replacements. Not only had I requested to complain about his psychiatrist once before, and the clinic NEVER called me back about it, but I put in a physical complaint and haven’t been contacted about it either. This clinic needs to hire doctors, psychiatrists, etc who are ALL following the same standards of care and lack bias in their treatments. I’m incredibly sick of people not listening at this clinic, and APPARENTLY many others are as well.
I have been a patient for 13 maybe yrs. I have a new doctor which is really good. Very thorough. Dr Sandy Fulkerson. She takes her time to listen and fully understand.I also see a psychiatrist who is the absolute best. Been with him since hes been with the clinic. Dr T, who I call for short for Dr Trueschel(sp?).**Update**Still not the same clinic as before. Not as easy to get in w your PCP, no matter who it is. Ive had this problem for about 2 years. I feel like there are more patients per doctor. Im not a fan of this whatsoever. Its about a month out. You can get in w someone, but they dont know you personally. For myself and for being able to see my old PCP for many years, I was used to getting right in. Hes been gone for about 2 years and since I feel the company took a change.I like the new renovations to the building and making it better. My complaints since covid have been with staff. The front desk doesnt always leave messages with nurses or your notes dont get sent. This has happened on many occasions. This is the area that needs help. Portal is crumb. This has been extremely frustrating.I have known several employees who have helped me. I know I have had or have complaints. Im still a patient and will continue. Continue because of my doctors.
No zero stars so a measley 1. The staff seem nice but way in over their heads, I hope and/or malpractice worthy incompetent. Ive had 30+ years of cholerstal meds but in a new patient interview was told I did NOT need a bllod test but did need one for hepC. The special of the month? Im over 70, never used drugs and hadnt had sexual relations in 8+ years! Then I had a 3+ week bout of insomnia, given a presciption for skin rash and told to come in 2 weeks to get a stronger med.. No sleep for 2 weeks?! The prescription - took 2 pills and 3.5 hours still awake! No skin rash though. Go to my 2 week wait appointment, PA is gone, need to come back another time. Luckily I called Salem Clinic and was seen in 3 hours getting the meds I needed to sleep. DO NOT RISK YOUR HEALTH AND LIFE WAITING FOR THESE CLOWNS TO HELP YOU. BE PROACTIVE AND GO ANYPLACE ELSE!
My experiences have always been great! Have had the blessings of caring doctors and staff! Been a patient for over 3 decades and have always had great care! I absolutely love my doctor and she knows it!!!! ☺️
Theyve always helped me financially in every way possible. They are very good at listening to me and what I think. They have helped me through injuries and are always polite. Every once in a while they get a little mixed up. But I understand they have a ton of patients. They always take the time to correct any errors. Would recommend to anyone. If I cant afford a bill they always do everything in their power to lower it and even have totally wiped the bill for me. I have insurance but they always help me with my co-pays when Im unable to work or not able to afford it when working. Great place. Great employees. 😁
If there were zero stars I would have chosen that. My mom sustained a compression fx of her thoracic spine a month ago. I follow up was recommend with a specialist and I spoke with the referral department and was told that the request would be sent to the appropriate care team. I guess it went to the dont care team as the referral was never sent! Now a month later! There is something wrong with this clinic. I am a physician from a neighboring state. I would consider this clinic dangerous to ones health. Many stories of mortality and morbidity have to do with delays in appropriate medical care. Dont become a statistic. Avoid this medical clinic
Tried to call to get in today as I have been in horrible pain. Receptionist was very rude. She tried talking over me and refused to listen. She was horrible and no help. Please quit hiring people who are rude and disrespectful if you are a medical facility. No reason to be awful to patients who are in need. Hire people who want to help others and are compassionate. Your on hold message says you strive to be the best. If that were true, you wouldnt treat people rude and hateful. Very unprofessional! You dont even deserve a one star. As soon as I can, I will be looking for somewhere else for my healthcare needs.
6 years a patient. All 5 of my revolving door doctors have been great... and nearly worth the never less than 20 minutes waiting on hold to get an appointment more than 6 weeks out.Update- 11/28/22.THEY MADE ME AN APPOINTMENT WITH A DOCTOR WHO WONT BE THERE!20 minutes on hold to make an appointment with my new doctor for the first time. Made the appointment 12/21/21. Got a letter not 1 hour later. It was dated 11/23, days before they made the appointment, it said the doctor had quit and her last day would be 12/6/22.It goes this way almost every time!
I haven’t seen any primary care providers here but the mental health staff is always the best and most caring providers I have ever personally had. I could talk to Dr. DeCelles for days she is so friendly, personable, kind and caring and I’ve always received phenomenal care from her. Veronica in behavioral health is also so kind and always so incredibly helpful and understanding.
My third time calling this location and omg they are so annoying. One time they hanged up on me. The way they are talking to you makes you do not want to go to this clinic. They sound like they hate their job and don’t what to help! Man if you do not like to talk to people just find yourself another job! Zero star
Been to this office 4 times, with 4 negative experience. Most recently, I had a pap smear done, the doctor did not listen to me, and got a bad sample due to her lack of listening to her patient. I had to get a second pap smear done. This time the same provider did it, and gave them a sample of 100% RBC and no tissue to use diagnostically. I have had 2 paps in 3 months, and now I have to get another one done elsewhere as I am high risk. My health has been neglected by this office. They do not call back, they are so disorganized with appointments, and their billing department cannot read an EOB. Spoke to a manager and she said she could not even refund my 2 copays for my well woman visits. Which, I believe was dropped with ObamaCare. I had to leave work twice, get a traumatic procedure done, twice.. And there is nothing they can do to right the situation? Dont go here. Go literally anywhere else.
Wowzer, I started going to West Salem clinic about 7 years ago. I moved out of the area for 1 year and then I came back to West Salem clinic. For the last 3 years I tried to get the care I needed and I was straight up lied to.I feel like I just advocated for myself into the black void for the last 3 years.I was super patient with West Salem clinic during the construction and covid but I just cant do it anymoreIm going to move on to some places else.I think West Salem clinic needs to be investigated
This is from someone who is pretty much forced to go here because i need the mental health services so I’m forced to go to their drs as well.If you have serious chronic health issues I would think twice about going here as you just feel like a another patient and are not treated respectfully. It literally feels like they aren’t aware of the history of your treatment and have little concern for the long term treatment.they recently changed a dosage of my medication without even telling me,what a joke! A practitioner here complained about having to fill out fmla paperwork for a serious injuries.their first line of treatment is to push you into physical therapy instead of giving consideration to takin you away from the job that is causing you the pain. Most of the time they are so booked up your not going to see your practitioner anyway because they send you to quick care.Just do your research if you want to quality care and you have chronic issues you might consider going elsewhere.
Breanna,The very first time I saw her there was like this Beacon of hope and light that entered the room. I had been putting off getting my lab work done so she was like, no meds. It wasnt about that though she cares. She really truly is one of the only ones there that will listen to you. She also made me do a pap-smear and I was so nervous to which she calmed me down for just being her, telling me Im not as traumatized as her. Now made me laugh to which that thing flew right out of me due to the convulsions of laughter. Now thats behind us and Im squeaky clean even though past cancer diagnosis in my uterus. I wanted and still want a daughter. If anybody reads this email me. If you are planning not keeping your.....Goodnight and thank you
West Salem Clinic is great. The doctors and staff are very professional, kind and caring. I recommend Dr. Paige Tomes, she is my PCP and takes wonderful care of me.
West Salem Clinic feeds off of co-pays or something. They know that you’re desperate to get help and have you come back a million times to take care of something that could have been dealt with in an appointment or two. If you ask to be scheduled for a 30 minute appointment, you will show up to that appointment to find out that you were only scheduled for 15 minutes and then rushed out in 10 after not having a chance to talk about everything you’re there for. I just recently saw my doctor for FIVE minutes and was told to make another appointment to talk about the heart issues and constant muscle spasms that I’ve been having due to medication they put me on (I was told that we would have a chance to talk about it at that appointment and will obviously not be coming back because I feel like it is time-sensitive - I left the clinic bawling my eyes out and was SO embarrassed). Every experience I have had for the last 6 months or so have been a splinter of hope sprinkled with “We’ll talk about all of that at the next appointment.” and then not being able to get a word in about it at the next appointment and rushed out of the office after hearing “Make another appointment and we’ll talk about it, I have OTHER patients, you know.” when not only was I early, but sitting right there desperately waiting to talk about it. They do not have enough time to genuinely take care of their patients, after their patients wait like 4 weeks for an appointment. I absolutely do not recommend them, unless you are taking your child - they treat my children wonderfully and take their time to check them out and speak with us - that is the only reason I’m giving them 2 stars. PLEASE go elsewhere if you have chronic pain/an invisible illness and are desperately looking for help - you will be old and grey before receiving help for it here.
Instead of letting me change my prescription to something that is covered they just billed their own insurance. I could have had it changed to something my insurance covered but they took that away from me. I only found out after it was done and I had to pay way more then I would have if I had gotten one phone call. It was that or wait another 4 days for the backed up pharmacy to get my son his antibiotics he desperately needed.I assume I have to ask every time I get a prescription to not have a note taking away my ability to make decisions on my medications. Next time I come in I am retracting this consent if I even gave it. I just needed to be included. This all happened without me and I feel so violated.
I have asked about my varicose veins and leg pain several times before and they dont seem like it is a problem. Heres some Gabapentin. It could be just West Salem Clinic. They make a comment on your paperwork that they talked to you about your weight even though they dont so that they can bill the insurance at the cost to tax payers that they did to fund their new buildings and expansions. Health care will never be what it was in the 70s and 80s when the patients actually mattered. Now its only 1 complaint per visit so they can bill and fund things and expansions that they want. Its ridiculous and its crazy. Maybe patients should schedule a few back to back appointments so that they can ask a couple of questions and get results. Bring back true patient CARE.
I have been patient at the West Salem Clinic for at least 5 years. The staff has always been helpful, kind and friendly. I cant say enough good things about my personal physician Dr. Gillis. As for the negative reviews. Public service isnt easy. You cant make everyone happy.
Id give it non stars if I could. Now they had my insurance cut off i cant get an appt and i havent seen a primary in over 3 years thanks to them not EVER GIVING ME AN APPT. AND I AM SICK. THEY DONT CARE ABOUT PEOPLE. THEY ARE A STAIN ON THE MEDICALPROFFESION. cuz im not diabetic. Cant get my meds.
Its says open, but no one is answering the phone. Voice machine continues to say, all clinic are closed!! Terrible
As pained as I am to leave a one-star review, our experience relying on West Salem Clinic for our newborn to be seen at two weeks old, let alone further regular two week checkups, was exceptionally bad.His two week check up was rescheduled to almost his one-month mark because Dr. Angela did not show up and, for whatever its worth, they had zero backup available for all her patients affected. Then, the rescheduled appointment offered nothing more than weighing him and looking at his skin—i.e., no check on vision, hearing, physical, cognitive, etc. To make matters worse, the appointment that was supposed to follow two weeks thereafter was also rescheduled, resulting in a second checkup at his two month mark that shouldve been at his one month mark.If you rely on them and they reschedule low quality appointments for your newborn, then who is liable should you discover anything regarding patient health that shouldve been caught by regular, quality two week appointments? Putting the health of our son in their hands effectively put his health in the hands of no one... we are fully capable of weighing him and checking his skin on our own.I can only speculate why the appointments were either rescheduled or of such low quality. They claimed Dr. Angela was sick, which, if true, Im sorry to hear and hope she feels better. The face value of such excuses is quite low from a nonperforming organization meriting little to no trust. Furthermore, due to work I was unable to attend the appointments and, subsequently, his mother was present with him. They are both people of color - were they treated differently in virtue of implicit bias?
Update: The provider I wrote the original review about is no longer at this facility, so I have updated the review to reflect my most recent experience.I have been in severe pain each day for a week. Dr. Niemuth saw me while my provider was out. She stated she would have a prescription filled for me but never sent it (not for pain). She was rude the entire time, and not comforting at all. Fortunately, my symptoms have started to subside today but what an awful doctor to have in charge of your care.
This is difficult for me, as my problem is with administration, not with the medical care.I have been going to West Salem Clinic since 2013.My primary physician and his nursing staff are as good as any I have experienced. I could not be more pleased and have not a single complaint. I have never had a problem with the lab. There are two reasons for the one star. The first is that their front office staff is poorly trained. Not in regards to check-in, that they do well, but try calling for anything and you will have long waits, often be disconnected on transfer, and should you ever ask to speak to a supervisor they will never, ever return your call. The second is their NextGen Patient Portal is absolutely unusable. Should you try to find and read your test results, forget it. They should check out the Salem Health MyChart Portal for the way a real portal should work, and then switch. If it were just the medical staff, I wold give 5-stars. But you have to get past the front office before you can get to them. And then deal with perhaps the worst designed patient portal on the planet. Why do I continue to go there? Because I like my doctor and have resigned myself to the poor administration.
This place is amazing!! It was a rough start but once I found my current doctors, Jamie Skreen and Lisa Decelles, my quality of care has been amazing! Not only this, but all other staff I have met and worked with are amazing! Reception is really nice and helpful. I cant imagine where Id be or how Id be without NWHS [west salem].
Idk whats up with their hours but I was told call at 7 am for quick care yet Everytime I call at 7 am it says all clinics are closed. Maybe update hours or stop advising that we call this early.
So many reasons.... No idea where to start. Mental health and medical services suck but yay OHP and alot of money wasted to pump into a worthless establishment. On the plus side there is a portal here if you can play ingress while you wait Or play pokemon go on your phone.
My boys and I have seen Shannon Carey for years now and I couldn’t be more happy with my care! She is very thorough, she listens to our concerns, she’s knowledgeable, she’s so friendly and genuine!! Her medical assistants are very helpful, friendly and knowledgeable as well. Our family couldn’t be more happy with our care from not just Shannon but her medical assistants as well.
A previous person described their service perfectly. Which I will quote below with a quick addition.“West Salem Clinic feeds off of co-pays or something. They know that you’re desperate to get help and have you come back a million times to take care of something that could have been dealt with in an appointment or two”Personally, I’ve had multiple instances where they will send incorrect bills, rush our appointments and invalidate symptoms. Extremely unprofessional.
The doctors here seem dismissive and rushed. I understand a lot of patients are forced to this location due to the limited care of OHP, but maybe its time more doctors demand extended coverage from the OHA since they dont seem to listen to their citizens. On top of this, some of their receptionists seems extremely untrained. I had to explain in detail what a gynecologist was and why I needed my annual exam in order for him to understand what I needed and he still didnt know where to schedule me.
Getting refills of medications is impossible. Takes 5+ days for them to even review it, then 2+ more days to get to a pharmacy. Every single month is like this. Communication is awful between patient and care team. Unless you enjoy running out of medications (even though you request at the correct time), go elsewhere.
The receptionist are the worse! Not friendly at all I miss the old staff! I’ve been coming here since it was a OBGYN clinic also and now it’s garbage it’s so sad to see put some money into training them instead of remodeling!
Incredible mental heath and substance abuse team. 10/10 recommend. Angela Witt and Ivan Gutierrez are amazingly kind souls, and extremely professional care providers.
I deeply appreciate the clinics approach to those who are struggling with houselessness. The providers are guine and compassionate. I appreciate their commitment to working as a team and when doctor needs more information about my health concern she takes the time to research and consult with other nurses and doctors.
I love the general practitioner I have. Its the Psychiatrist that is a dismissive, unhelpful! Not worth the paper their Degree is printed on. DO NOT COME HERE FOR MENTAL HEALTH!!
Takes a long time to get anyone on the phone to even make an appointment. I next to NEVER see the same provider if I do get an appointment. They will take your weight and blood pressure, so they can bill your insurance for an entire exam, if if youre only there to get test results- which you need to make an appointment for, just so they can bill your insurance! They put in a take a number machine- without a sign - nothing- and even if they see you standing in the line waiting, NO ONE SAID hey theres a new system- you have to print out a ticket! They didnt call in my meds, I was nervous that the pharmacy would close first! My doctor decided that my nausea meds were being taken to get high after prescribing them to me for nearly 4 years! The lab gave me the WRONG tests! I waited for the lab for over an hour- just to be given the WRONG tests!? Then they want me to come back and wait another hour and a half to get the right ones! I dont have alot of good things to say about this place! All the good reviews on here are from fake accounts that are most likely staff and friends of staff. Dont even get me started on the Mental Health and Dental clinic there!!! I would love to get a new clinic- but its been impossible no one else in town seems to be taking new patients!
One of the worst clinics I’ve ever been to. I moved out of state recently, but before I moved I made one last appointment to refill an important prescription. After visiting the doctor it became apparent he failed to call in my meds which left me high and dry in a new state. Inexcusable incompetence as failing to call in a prescription to the pharmacy has happened many times before
Oh lord, where do i start. Lucy is literally the worst customer service person i have ever experienced in any situation in my entire life. my kids & i call her hag beast because she sounds like a comedic troll from a fairy tale. she asks severely inappropriate questions & never knows what shes doing. whenever i call back & get a different receptionist its so easy & they dont ask stupid questions. i remember in october of 2020 we were getting a covid test because we were exposed at work & she said why do you need one, what were you doing? just always giving us a hard time & being unhelpful. she is exhausting & makes every experience difficult.
My original provider simply could not have been better. I was thrilled to have her. She was knowledgeable, caring, a good listener, all of the things I hope for in a medical provider. After about a year and a half, she left the clinic. Since that time, which has now been about 5 years, I have had several providers, varying in degrees from poor to pretty good. Sadly, the entire atmosphere of the clinic has changed, as well. The focus throughout the establishment is on limiting the amount of time you are allowed and making darn sure you know it at every step of the way; from setting appointments on. There is also a high turn-over rate in providers, perhaps because of the aforementioned emphasis, in combination with a general sort of malaise in the line level personnel and medical staff that used to appear as people who enjoyed their work and environment. As Im not aware of the inner workings of the organization, I dont know what has caused this, but it has certainly been disappointing to observe the change occur and, even more so, to experience the impact on the level of care I receive.
Yes, this place used to have long hold (phone) and wait (office) times, but it has much improved. Since Ive been on Oregon Health Plan I can have all my concerns addressed in a fast, competent manner. The Patient Portal is great. Sign up online to message your doctor and get test results, etc.
Update. Now that i have an appointment elsewhere they cannot even fax a referrel to a new dr. Therefore i get no appointment after 3 months of waiting. Just because i was taking a mild dose of a narcotic does not make me a drug seeker or an addict. Although some here want to see it as that. They pick who gets narcotics and who doesnt by judgement call of their own. I am filing a suit against them in order to get a referral by fax. Unprofessional and rude. They do not care about patients needs. No doctors are in the house.
Ive been holding off writing a review for this place, but the most recent incident after leaving this place was the official last straw.I was so excited to find a new doctor, after having moved across the country and being in need of prescription refills. I had to go through orientation and then had to wait a few weeks before I was even able to get in. The receptionists are nice enough. The wait time isnt horrible (unless you are calling.. in that case, prepare to be on the phone for an hour or more). My first appointment I was half freaking out, being a nervous doctor-goer and being in a new place... and being off my meds due to having to wait for an appointment. They also make you fill out a sheet of paper listing the two problems you wanted to talk about... well in my case, I had half a sheet of notebook paper and was literally having a panic attack right then. My blood pressure was high. When my doctor (err.. PA) finally got in, I was almost lectured about my blood pressure... this continued to be a trend for many more of my appointments, when I was in the office for different reasons. On one instance, I came in for a possible broken elbow and was transferred into two different rooms so that about three different people could take my blood pressure! By that point I was crying, almost hyperventilating -- of course my blood pressure was through the roof! My blood pressure was never not an issue, it seemed. I even agreed to get put on medication if they would just leave me alone and fix the actual problems (and stop having at least two different people check my BP every single time... like that doesnt stress someone out). It took dozens of appointments to get anywhere close to what I went in to the West Salem Clinic for in the first place... and to mention that -- in order to get an appointment at their mental health clinic (even after having previous providers, referrals, meds, etc...), I had to have 3 pre appointments. One with a semi liaison between departments, and two with the intake person. Im surprised I didnt give up.But I stuck through with them. At one point, I was supposed to get bloodwork done for two things. After not being told to go across the hall to Labcorp, I had to message and ask them if I was supposed to come in. I went and got the labs done, and when I get the report, it looks as though they took way more blood and got way more labs done than the two items that were in my pending labs portion of my patient report. They told me that they must have ordered the wrong labs and not to worry -- they probably had enough blood to test the two original items. I ignored this and figured everything was resolved until EIGHT MONTHS LATER I get a bill from Labcorp for over $400 for the labs that were ordered incorrectly! Now Im sitting here waiting for someone from WSC to get back to me about this, because Lapcorp straight up told me that theyd fax me a copy of the incorrect order, and that the doctors office is the only one who can fix the issue. This isnt even counting the time when I got a call from the radiologist an hour before my scheduled MRI telling me that my doctor ordered the wrong images & not to come in -- he said hed been trying to get a hold of West Salem Clinic for the past three days and was not able to get in touch. It took another few weeks before I was able to get the correct images ordered! Then when I finally got the results, the nurse literally called me on the phone and said You have several microadenomas (tumors) on your pituitary gland. Bye. How is that okay for etiquette?I am absolutely furious that a place as unorganized and inconsiderate as this can possibly remain open. It was the worst experience Ive ever had at a doctors office, and Im surprised I put up with it as long as I did.
Ive had good experiences, but I think the bad and generally frustrating experiences dominate. My former doctor would constantly blow off my medical concerns if they seemed out of the norm or like too much extra work to diagnose. Thankfully she left the practice. My current doctor takes me more seriously but twice there have been communication issues post-appointment. I wasnt given results for a series of tests until I called 2 weeks later, asking for them. My antibiotic prescription wasnt called into my pharmacy as I was told it would be after my appointment, so my pharmacy had to call and request the order. They have made efforts to streamline care to reduce wait times, but doctors are only more overwhelmed and less helpful. The receptionist manager is a salty old woman on a power trip with a terrible, condescending attitude that gets exasperated by callers when she has to answer.
I used to love the West Salem Clinic when I first moved my aged mother from the Salem Clinic 6 years ago. Rather than getting better, WSC has simply become busy and chaotic. Half hour telephone wait-times; confusing and conflicting information; stressed-out staff who apparently do not have access to doctors orders or good information; incorrect orders and information; very hard to contact doctors, nurses, etc. While there are plenty of nice people, West Salem Clinic is now just another lousy corporate medical establishment.
Angela Witt FnP.Angels witt is the worst person to treat youNo she isn’t thorough!! She deserves negative stars !! She has flaked on my mother’s She has rescheduled Appointments multiple times! Her reasoning is family issues but these cancellations isnt just once or twice it ogngoing it was month after month after months and months. And now this month the nurse said she just wasn’t at the clinic. When they had called earlier asking her to be timely. She doesn’t listen my mother .she is in pain yeah she gave her shot two months later. Any concerns she has she doesn’t listen or just says it’s cus of ur age. Women I don’t care what it is you can at lest relive her from her pain! I hope you reads this you don’t deserve to be a doctor you should be ashamed of yourself. My mom has a heavy looking thin on her arm and she won’t even look or treat her cus it wasn’t written on the appointment that was a concern for the day. Also if your gonna be sick pas your patience over you selfish human being .
Cant even get an appointment if you are a new patient because you can only schedule an appointment on Monday and they will only take 2 new patients a week. You can start calling at 7 AM when they open but they wont answer the phones until 7:30 and by the time they get to you all of the spots will be filled. Been trying to get an appointment for emergency dental for a month and all they will do is tell me that I have to try harder and that they cant do anything for me. Go ahead and ask for a supervisor, no supervisor seems to be available within the first hour of the clinic opening on Monday morning, the only time when they take new patients or any appointments at all. I am already a medical patient with this clinic and yet I cant seem to get an appointment for my dental services. There is no compassion within this clinic. Nothing but a lack of professionalism. Dont waste your time.
It’s sounds to good to be true well it is. I thought they would have sent my prescriptions in and the doctor said they were ready to be picked up 9/29/19 went to pick up my prescriptions on 9/30/19 they didn’t have enough to fill them. Do they not hold on to them if you don’t pick them up do they just give away your prescriptions like what the hell
Rude and everytime I come in I feel decriminated. The mental heath is great trushial is amazing. Dr surges dont help you at all. And if you bring up something else thats bothering you, you have to make a appointment weeks out, when it is important. .. also everytime I go to the dr clinic Im waiting in reception area 30 mins to a hr. And then they bring me back and Im waiting 30 mins to a hr to see my dr for five mins tops.. while Im waiting all I hear is the medical assistants talking about personal life being loud and un professional. Ive even heard them talking about why Im being seen, I mean common... I can also hear through the rooms and can hear other patients.... breaking confidentiality rules Id say.. I was also having horrible with aniexy came in to clinic after I called and they made a apt with my advise nurse. Again waiting over a hr and the nurse did nothing. I left and had to go to the er and the er said that was ridiculous.
I wouldn’t come here for help. I tried to get therapy. I didn’t have health insurance. All I got was an uncomfortable interview. I paid 40$ up front and they didn’t tell me any different. Just to try to get a discount and see you next time. I decided not to go through with the therapy. My my mother got cancer, my car crashed etc. It was all too much and I knew I couldn’t afford it. Come a few months later I get a bill for 272$. They charged me 272$ for a 5 min conversation that led to no therapy in the end. I’ve been robbed, and they threatened to send a collection agency after me.I’ve had botched operations here before: Ex. An ingrown toenail that was cut out when I had Medicaid. They pretty much numbed my toe and ripped it off, afterwords they gave me no anti-biotics and no pain killers. They just said Ibprofen would work. - my foot got infected and the pain was miserable. I couldn’t sleep for days until I got them to give me meds. This place does not care about their paitients. At least they didn’t care about me.
Poor reception staff on talking to there patients amd in case of emergency judt keep quoting policy and procedures instead of taking care of the community that gives them jobs. Went to cancel a appointment or reschedule and was told i cant and i would be marked as a no call no show which is rediculous esp only reason i cant make it is cause possibly being evicted. I do not recommend this office if you want to be treated with respect and actually cared for.
I called their crisis hotline tonight. Anne was very kind and genuinely seemed to care. I think she is a therapist for the clinic. I’m still in crisis, but talking to her helped. My crisis isn’t quite so bad now. Thank you.
I don’t know why people gave this place so many bad reviews. I initially was scared coming into this place because of them but I’ve got nothing but exceptional help from the staff here. Dr. Sturgis is a gem and her team is also always fantastic and make me feel welcomed. I’m always relieved when I leave this place that my needs are being met. If you call later in the day it is hard to get a hold of people only cause of the constant flow of patients they’re all trying to help but I don’t feel like you can knock them for that.
Great place for your medical needs. They also have other services as well. You are well taken care of. I been there numorous times and always have great reviews. They tell you the truth about things , they are willing to listen. They help with anything you need. You cant go wrong there
This place needs alot of work. Not on the outside of the building but inside!!! Since January I still have no treatment for my disabled son. One rediculus excuse after another. Mental Health and pain Management leave alot to be desired. The Portal is not efficient or effective. I hope it gets better.
The medical and dental services at Northwest Human Services / West Salem Clinic @ 1233 Edgewater St NW Salem, Oregon 97304 are top notch and affordable. The staff is always professional and super helpful. I volunteered as a medical advocate for Seniors in California for over 15 years before moving to Salem in 2005 - so I have witnessed the standard of care in numerous medical clinics and have a good perspective on the range of outcomes that are delivered in large high volume medical / dental facilities. Northwest Human Services is simply outstanding and consistently provides top notch health care resources for the residents Salem and the Willamette Valley. I have a friend who has accessed resources here too and she is equally complimentary about her experiences. We are privileged to have such an amazing team of health care professions in our community and grateful to every staff person at the Northwest Human Services team. *****FIVE STARS*****
Been going to the doctor here for almost a year, they have lost referals, scheduled me for appointments when the provider was not in the office and then yesterday at my mental health intake appointment I was the most uncomfortabe I have ever been at a councilor s office. I am not going back evev.
I went to my doctor about some problems I was having but she had no idea what caused it and she told me to see my oncologist he said I was just retaining water and I needed to drink less water. So Ive been walking a lot and drinking a little water every so often. Its only been about a week so I cant really tell if theres any difference yet
The doctors there do not care about the people. They give horrible advice (who tells a depressed person that they need to fake being happy and not to do things with other people?). They would rather hurry you out the door to go to the bar with their coworkers then help you with your problems.
The staff are horrible, unprofessional and when you really need an advice from a nurse they have you wait for more than 2 hours when you only have 1 call ahead of you. I cant imagine how long they will have you wait if you have 2 or 3 calls ahead of you. I ended up hanging up and just taking my child to the emergency room. Total health and West Salem Clinic both are both horrible.
I just got off the phone with a staff named “Parina” who was super condescending, unprofessional, and incompetent. After trying to work with her for a few minutes I asked her to speak with a supervisor, at which point she decided to hang up on me. This is a ridiculously an ethical business practice.
One star because zero is not an option. Too many loops just to get an appointment with a dentist scheduled. There shouldnt be a need to call back to get an appointment and be prepared for a first come first serve type of thing just to get an appointment.. OH and bring your own dental x-rays if they were done within the last FIVE years! The dentist will go off of them for treatment and not do a complete exam.. ???? SERIOUSLY?!?!?
Ive never had such WORSE care in the world!!! I had gone to ER and had to be seen asap. So they scheduled me with someone that wasnt my primary. Her name is Meghan Ferry. That lady treated me with utmost disrespect and disgrace. I left the facility that day in tears...I WILL be finding a new provided soon. people like her shouldnt be working wwith people. Period!!!
Called to make an appointment Monday morning.Day of appointment, Wednesday rolls around and no appointment has been made.Made multiple calls to doctor and her nurse, they played the game of theyre busy well call you back. No calls back, awful customer service and attitude like not our problem
Initially I was very excited by the wraparound programming they purport to offer. However, as a chronic pain patient who has to work when she can while job searching, I was soon to find that they hand out referrals without knowing or caring that these will not service the working poor/eligible who must work and cannot sit in a mass class hours a week for weeks on end. When asked to do some advocacy, they shrugged. No interest here. When you call to ask if they treat chronic pain, they refuse to allow you to talk to someone to get a truthful answer. You are required to change your PCP to them before you have even had your mass-orientation visit, and only then do you discover you have been dropped into an anti-medication practice. Frontline operators say they accept pain patients, but actually refer them out right away, meanwhile devising little tricks to try to trip patients up as medication abusers. Tricks can include such acts as having the check-in person ask you if your medication is a stronger one than it actually is; and once in the exam room you are questioned if you have answered incorrectly, mistake or not. It is an unpleasant and paternalistic approach to Medicaid/Medicare patient management. Recent experience with a surgeon shows that although every US doctor is now required to closely question every single user of any pain meds in exactly the same way on every single contact, many medics are opting to give barely enough medication for a person with traumatic injuries (or chronic) to get through as few days as 2-3.5. From recent experience I have learned there is still some room for discretion, but the formal line touted differs from this. Doctors are now threatened with loss of licensure and are clamping down on all pain patients - traumatic and chronic alike - in a one size fits all fashion so as to protect themselves. There is indeed a public health emergency in America, but the root causes are not being addressed. The wraparound service dream is an effort to responsibly address roots and alternatives, but little real-world awareness is being applied to it from the recipient perspective. At one appointment, the provider stoutly announced, Pain pills dont work. After a shattered joint and other new skeletal injuries recently, I can say that I beg to differ. After long and stressful days at work without meds, or long hours of physical endeavor needed to support my way of life, the aches are real and the relief is equally real. While Ive always wanted access to LMT, DC, LaC and more and was never able to have these treatments due to lack of appropriate insurance coverage and pay, I am turned off by these generalized statements of fact that are made in reaction to the stated public health emergency. Moreover, I never could afford access to pools and the like, but, again, the referrals made required me to stop being a working person and be a cattle call member sitting in a classroom for months so as to have access to the services.I am concerned further with this: after cutting off all pain medications from pain patients and allowing them some therapies that absolutely do help and have been heretofore withheld from the impoverished, what is to happen to the chronic pain manager once he or she is re-employed and is given the shoddy underinsurance that is now the standard in America? These ideologues will have moved everyone off of pills, a very good thing, but will have shifted the population onto treatment choices that will be again rendered out of reach by lack of insurance adequacy and lack of earnings to cover these services. What happens to the person with permanent damage to bones and joints, tendons and musculature once the effective alternative palliatives are taken from their reach again? When I try to engage my providers in this conversation, i find them so wrapped up in their idea of this revolutionary programming that they have given absolutely no thought to real-world conditions outside of the delicate Medicaid bubble soon enough to burst under the vicious scrutiny of Trump and company.
Patient profiling and judgmental character assessments are the tools they use to diagnose patients. They are often rude, always condescending, and are honest when they feel like it. If you call for advice, you will be told that its very important that you come in right away,..then they wont listen to a word you say, wont treat pain at all (everyone is med seeking or an addict), doesnt matter if you have broken ribs, they just say its against clinic policy...then they will suggest talk therapy , presumably to help control the impulse to go honey badger right there in the office..Your medical records will not be accurate. No matter how many times you tell them you no longer take a medication, they wont change it. If there is a mistake in your record, they wont change it. ( If you can show proof of inaccuracy, and they still dont correct it...well....FELONY! lolWSC is incompetent at best, and should only be used for referrals to specialists.UPDATE 12/26/2018After Intermedullary nail fixation, I had bad post surgery hip pain. PA Taylor McDowell profiled me as med seeking , so didnt order XRays, but instead ordered physical therapy (which I had already been doing, but had to quit due to severe pain and failure to progress), yoga, and talk therapy. I had to wait 3 months for a second opinion (in constant pain and completely disabled). My pain, as it turned out, was due to a 5 inch screw that blew through the head of my femur and lodged in my pelvis. She entered derogatory comments in my medical record. I am not given equal time to defend myself, or to show evidence of her incompetence.THEN:i had concerns over results of a chest CT done at the time of the above mentioned surgery. A lingering cough made me think a follow up was in order. My requests for chest imaging (I knew something was wrong. Was guessing lymphoma) were met with derision. Each time I called (4+letter and email), I was offered an appointment that was over 6 weeks out. I told the nurse that it was very hard for me to get in/out of the medical transport that I now need, and that it is hard for me to sit for more than a few minutes due to pain. I asked that the tests be ordered first, so I could get the test, then come in for results. NOPE, I was told I had to come in to determine the necessity of any testing. A lingering cough and suspicious CT Chest scan (Aug 27, 2018) of no concern at all.On Dec 3, I was diagnosed with inoperable lung cancer. The tumor has more than doubled since my first request for follow up.WARNING: West Salem Clinic practices the kind of health care that KILLS PEOPLE! Do NOT entrust yourself or your children to these people.JennyBlank aka Jenifer Saroian
Update as of 06-11-16 went to see a new doc. He was nice. Told me they would be sending my prescription out well, that was at 10am. Its now 4:37pm and not one of them are at my pharmacy. I would not complain but I can not breath! Not only that. Big hipaa violations! When they took my vitals and what not.... This guys papers were on the table! I was confused thinking it was my info. The lady then informed me it was another clients test results! Like, why was his stuff NOT in his chart... Then you tell me exactly what it is! Tf!!!! (That was as of 6-9-16)THIS PLACE NEEDS TO BE SHUT DOWN!Every single time I am here I have to wait like 30-45 mins just to get called back. Once I am called back to see the doc its another 30+ wait! On top of that most of the MAs here are just flat out rude! I love my doctor and thats the one reason I stay here! My recommendation.... Dont go here. Unless u like to wait.
This place is so cutting edge they draw blood. I dont think anyone in this clinic cares about the patient. They really care about whatever insurance or the big bad feds have to say. They dont care about what is good for the patients individual needs. Not everything the DEA says is grounded in any science and you arent losing funding anytime soon. Please dont come here.
I met with Eric Chen, who immediately presented himself as an egotist. He was more interested in reaching a conclusion, rather than listening to what I had to say. He assumed my head pressure was nasal pressure, and that it related to being hit the face by a tree branch. The story I started to tell him about the tree branch was a whole tree, first of all. Second of all, my head pressure stems way beyond that. But he was already trying to prescribe medication. Zertec is designed to struggle with passing the blood-brain barrier, which the pressure is beyond the blood-brain barrier. I returned the medication. In my medical record, he stated that I had one unspecified occurrence of Major Depressive Disorder, and yet I told him about at least three. Then I met with a behavioral specialist, who told me that I was in a judgment-free zone, except that her job was to judge my behavior. She brought with her a young female, who the specialist claimed was a medical student. Although the young woman corrected her by stating that she was a nurse. Yet the specialist corrected the young woman by stating that she was medical student for the time being. The interaction between the two clearly implied that the specialist was lying, and that she was trying to cover her tracks by correcting the young woman. Her tone implied that she was frustrated with the young woman for letting the cat out of the bag (so to speak). I did not ask for the young woman to be present. She had no business being in the room, while I was being assessed for mental health services.I specifically told her that I wanted to see a male mental health specialist, yet the intake director asked me if I wanted to see a female. I can see there is an organizational issue here. For instance, I put in a request to change my physician, yet it was never processed.I was referred to Ivan Gutierrez as my mental health specialist. It is clear to me that he isnt qualified to handle people with mental illnesses. He didnt ask me anything about my past or present situation. He was not at all interested in anything that I was going through. He was instantly engaged in finding solutions to problems he had absolutely no idea how to fix. If anything, his advice was making my situation worse. I dont have a good relationship with my father whatsoever and yet every bit of advice he shared, he began with my father would tell me... He spoke highly of his father. was told that I needed to just be more positive, to go out and connect with people, to try and go outside to get some fresh air...none of which you should tell someone, suffering from Major Depressive Disorder. I wrote a 9-page letter he claimed to have read. He told me I was a good writer, and that I could start a career with it. In my letter, it stated at least twice that I didnt want medication. He proceeded to ask me on three separate occasions if I wanted medication. The visit after I gave him the letter, he shared two articles he must have found on Facebook. One about Happiness, and the other about defeating Loneliness; none of which helped.
After being refused URGENT Medical Care by doctor tsueng at the quick care clinic (he was sure that since Im a recovering addict I was just there for pain pills. Even a lowly EMT like me knows you dont give pain medication for abdominal pain. I was there to request Imaging. When I got sent back to the room instead of a doctor I got a social worker (whom was very kind and considerate)he sat down I confirmed with him that dr Tseng sent him in. Apparently the doctor had diagnosed me as a drug seeking faker without even laying eyes on me . When the social worker went to get the doctor it turned out he had left for lunch . I had to wait another hour and a half with some fairly decent upper abdominal pain so I could ask for CT scan/. And then be squeezed in between another doctors appointments. At this point I didnt want to return to the clinic at all. But I decided to give it another shot since the Clinical Director had assured me she would handle the situation. So finally I worked up the courage to go back and see my usual doctor. Who did I see when i walked in the building? Good ole P.A Tsueng. This immediately made me extremely anxious and upset as i suffer from several different mental illnesses including high functioning autism and PTSD. as he moved closer he flashed me a dirty look before disappearing behind two double doors protected by coded lock. By the time I got to see my PA my pulse and blood pressure were dangerously high due to the anxiety I was having. During the doctors appointment I was informed they were no longer going to be giving me the medication for my ADHD and that I was going to be referred to a treatment team. No ETA on that. In the meantime I am dangerously prone to impulsive decisions, extremely poor preformance at my NEW job and failing grade at the college i attend full time. When I was an EMT I made a mistake once and it got me in trouble through the state. Just a slap on the wrist and I was all for it. I wanted to be held accountable. I gave the clinic ample time and opportunity to resolve this situation of pretty blatant discrimination of a PERSON who also happenes to be a disabled veteran. Fool me once...
Abysmal care, horrible turnover rate which leads to staff who are under-educated and untrained and at least one physician who does anything he can to avoid treating patients with medication they need in order to ensure he is not liable for anything.Dangerously incompetent outfit. Go elsewhere. Your health is at risk with these people. And dont even get me started on the hold times.
The lack of compassion or even base empathy on top of their incompetency is DISGUSTING.Worst place ever. Incompetent staff. Friendly... untill you ask for help. Doctor refused to refill my suicidal prevention meds until I saw her even when I said I needed one more until I could get time off work to come in. I go in, she spends almost no time with me, says she will order enough refills to get me through for a long time. I call in my meds A FEW DAYS LATER, and they STILL have not been sent in. I wait, and go the day AFTER they said she should send in for the refill. STILL NOTHING. She is off for the next few days. I try to get through, but I am struggling, so I call the on call provider when I can- which ia late at night. SHE SCOLDED ME FOR CALLING HER AND SAID TO CALL BACK TWO DAYS LATER, SAYING SHE WOULD NOT HELP.I am literally suicidal. They know this. They know I CANNOT be off my meds.
Worst place ever , poor organization , poor choice of doctors as well as mediocre protocols . Mediocre psychiatric help, or lack there of just talking . The doctors are retarded , they dont even know what meds to give . Blood draw place is rediculously small and like u can trust . Judging by the building and the staff that working there it almost looks like theyre not doing theyre best u can even tell on most of theyre faces and I mean most there are a few good Gems there . I would summerise uncaring , robotic, unemotional ,unwilling to perscribe meds that I previously had perscribe by another physician that worked for years making me into a lab rat trying all kinds of nasty drugs its rediculously . The level of care that u feel there is next to none. U dont feel like they want to take care of u , u feel like ur just another peace of meat , just another person . U can literally feel it in the atmosphere
They have lost my sons new patient paperwork twice now. And you cant schedule an appointment until they get you into the system. So now I have to show up 30 minutes early to fill out the paperwork AGAIN! At least they scheduled me after they messed up twice
This place is a complete joke and waste of time. Tried to get a primary doctor here. Firstly they take you into a group intake, so nothing is private or personal, and they expect you to see different specialist doctors depending on your prescriptions and needs. I dont have time to be making numerous appointments just to take care of my medical needs. I have a suspicion they do this just to make as much money from your insurance. Unethical and shady practice. This clinic feels more like a WalMart of medical care, rather than a place of care and healing. I shouldve read previous reviews before coming here.
Dr. Tseng tells me hell get me another prescription for chantix to help me quit at the end of my appt. I wait a few days, call my pharmacy, they let me know there was never a prescription sent over. I call the clinic. The clinic has someone else call me back 2 days later, and basically tells me that I am lying, and that in order to get a prescription I have to come back in for an appt. We shedule it two weeks out. I come in, ask what the f*** and Dr Tseng days he will send the prescription yet again. Never did. This is now my third try. Why? Incompetence. There is no excuses. And now I have begun to smoke again, effecting my health.
I’ve had 2 different excellent counselor’s here. Well educated and very supportive counseling. Patient centered care, They support you in what you want to work on in counseling.
I felt like it was very unsanitized. The lady who was asking covid questions didnt wipe anything down. She had me take a oral temp. But did a non touch temperature on everyone else who walked in. And again, never wiped the stuff down. Theyre were more then 2-3 people in when checking in. Just very disappointed in this place when others reliy on places like this to keep their health safe.
No vengan aqui. Worst place to get health care & work at. They only care about making money not your health.Theres only like 2 good providers out of the whole clinic. Kelly the supervisor is the worst. She has a lot of favoritism over employees(and if your Hispanic your not one of them, your only good for being over worked & under payed while her lazy favorites do nothing & get praised by her) she has violated rights of her employees many times. Shes the reason and only reason why many good employees left & will continue to leave ....that place is going downhill.
By far the worst mental health facility I have ever been too. For months I have been trying to get in with them, the first time they didnt tell me it would be a video visit, the second time they didnt tell me what website or what I needed to do whatsoever, the third time I told them Id be at work when the called and the day they called they said we should reschedule so Im not at work, the fourth time they were supposed to call me and nobody called, I had to call and the said it looks like the provider isnt in today and now Im waiting another two weeks. When the said weeks ago theyd refer me and never called me about that either. Im at my breaking point a d I cant get in, I literally cant handle it anymore
I BEEN RESEARCHING WHY MY HANDS ARE TURNING YELLOW..IVE POSSIBLE KIDNEY FAILUREAND IVE BEEN UNDER THEIR CARE FOR FIVE YEAR AND THEY ALWAYS SAID YOUR BLOOD TEST ARE GOODAND WHO WILL HELP NOW???STILL WAITING TO CHANGE TO ANOTHER DOCTOR..
Horrible at refilling even the most basic recurring medications. I have asthma, I will continue to have it yet once a month its like pulling teeth to get these people to get me a refill
Service with a shrug. Not sure which is worse: the indifference or the gross incompetence. They have lost my paperwork twice in the last week alone, and I have been cut off on the phone twice in less than 24 hours, only to be put back in the queue holding, only further back in line. This is JUST for a refill. If this were a life-threatening emergency, I probably wouldnt be typing right now. RUN! Run like the WIND!!!
Ive been going to this clinic for about 3 years and its a joke. A 10min appointment takes at least an hour and a half. Quick care is at least 45mins. I hate this place.
I was a patient at West Salem Clinic for a few years and loved this clinic! I dont understand the bad reviews. I had very caring doctors. Nothing but a good experience.
If I could give it zero stars, I would. This place is an absolute joke and the so called doctors are even worse. The offer zero help beside trying to jam anti-depressants down your throat thinking that will solve your problems. I urge anyone reading this to look elsewhere if you need actual help and answers. The ER at Salem hospital is even better than this place.
Missed a call back for my son, so I called them back just for the lady to keep transferring me to other departments because she didn’t know why they called me , priorities are messed up take ur kids somewhere else
I have been a patient for many years at West Salem clinic and found their care consideration and professionalism to be second to none. I call that a job well done.
I absolutely love the welcoming atmosphere and for the most part the receptionist are friendly if you call in. They have great doctors and counselors. Definitely would recommend this place for your health need.
Actually ZERO stars is appropriate!! There services are terrible, there Doctors and staff are NOT qualified I left them several year ago. If you seek a qualified clinic I suggest Salem Health just up the street with many clinics located through out Salem.
Ive always gotten five-star service from the staff, and the building looks amazing with the new remodel they gave it
The dragon lady dentist poked me so many times giving me the anesthesia that my tooth( which she never even asked me which one had the problem) which was the wrong one anyway acttually healed long before the hamburger that she left in my mouth from poking me so many times...super cold lady..gave me zero pain meds...not sure where she went to dental school? In a russian prison or something? Oh yeah i forgot that dr little, or small, or teeny weeny or whatever misdiagnosed my mothers respitory problem and jist kept putting her off reffering her to specialists that were two weeks out..too late..she died horribly in salem hospital with a tube down her throat because she had the flu and m.r.s.a in her lungs...but dr tiny forgot to do his job...thanks ws clinic for all your help!!
Excellent doctor office. They wont pump you full of meds and are here to genuinely help people in every aspect, medical, mental and dental. Too bad I cant give 10 stars!
Staff is unhelpful at best and an obstacle realistically to patients, the intro paperwork asks information they simply do not need from me, and as a mental health patient I found myself having actual feelings of anxiety and anger working with these people, but given every other clinic puts people out for months now these people know they can be subpar.
These people are amazing from dr Sturgis & Maynard too All the staff who listen & share such empathy & concern. Always there for my med needs or a shoulder to cry on. Thank god for all of you. ThanksDarla
I honestly hate this place, the service sucks!! The last time I was there I had three issues I needed to talk about and I was literally 5 minutes late because I have to drive all the way across Salem to get there and I sat longer in the god damned waiting room than I did seeing my doctor. And to get a referral HA!!!! they dont go through the correct channels at all Im seriously just done currently now looking for a different doctor
They made me stay for 6 hours over 2 days and refused to refill non narcotic prescription (Lyrica) that Ive been taking for years for nerve damage pain.
Absolutely love them here. Im always welcomed and treated nicely and dont feel like Im being judged by people when I walk in. Very awesome staff that has helped me through a lot
Ive been going here since 2020 I still have the same provider its a great place and they help a lot
Dont say your open at 7am if your not gonna turn the phones on for several hours later.
West Salem clinic needs to update there hours and not say there open when they are not
I called and asked to schedule an appointment and while trying to explain my insurance to her she abruptly said they didnt take that insurance and then hung up on me.
Awaiting my prescription since July 17th, 3 days to process, the automated phone system said... Today is the 19th.
Rude, Discourteous and Judgemental. The Front office ladies act like there doctors. Like there 12 buck an hour job gave them a medical degree. Its completely filthy as well!
I tried desperately to set up a behavioral health appointment, but instead, I got run around, went in no less than three times for initial assessments and was literally laughed at when I tried to actually see a counselor instead of yet another initial assessment.
It’s a great clinic. I don’t have problems getting a doctors appointment and my doctor takes her time when I see her.
Omg i cant believe this so called clinic is still open !!!!!!!! i saw three different SO called doctors there , i cant believe they have the nerve to call themselves DOCTORS they are wannabe doctors ! i would rather never see another doctor ,than to EVER go back there ! i do not want to even give them one star ,but have too
I love the doctor that sees my son and i, her nurses are amazing as well if you have children megan is the doctor to see!!!(:
A medical professional mocked me for seeking treatment. I have issued a complaint. Please reach out.Edit: Resolved. Thank you kindly for reaching out.
0 stars if possibleWorst clinic in SalemWorst serviceLong wait , they don’t care for the patient , they say they open and close at a certain time but pretty much they do whatever they want . I would not recommend this place to anyone .
I love it!! I enjoy their quality services! Shout to my home boys and home girls! 5 stars to Nicole and Suri
While the system is good and the staff is educated, it seems like patients with complex issues tend to fall through the cracks of the three issues max per visit policy.
Check in was three minutes and only a two minute wait after when I was called back to see my doctor.
I was told that I do not have asthma because I was not wheezing at the doctors office. This after being in the ER on Sunday for asthma.
Our dr is outstanding! Looks good the new construction!
Just called to try and make an appointment and holy cow, that was the worst and most unprofessional attempt of customer service I ever encountered. Please hire new people to answer the phone.
They dont call you back they dont care about you never had problems at other places except west Salem clinic they suck would not recommend this place.
Receptionists are terrible there. They need fired and replaced.
Great place they even do housing and bus passes
Democrat health care. If Democrats make medicare for all you can expect your level of treatment to drop even further!
Thank you for taking care of me today you guys are awesome I appreciate your help great staff
They denied my sister her appointment for being one minute late and she is off her medication now-- lawsuit coming next.
Very pleased with the staff and with Shannon Carey and her nurses.
I only give a 5 because of doctor Spellings, there is literally nothing else good about this clinic
Not my choice if I had one better. I agree with the two other people who had bad experiences. I had similar occurrences many times.
Very quick & inconsiderate staff. Worst facility for all services provided. DO NOT COME HERE FOR HELP!
These people care. They have been taking good care of me for 3 years now.
Great place to work, all staff are committed to their work and helping patients
These people dont know their ass from a hole in the ground....Dr Chen is a lazy welfare Dr, hope you dont get him!!!
Medical Van run 8:45am Monday Thursday and Friday from H.O.A.P.
Horrible reception! No need for them.
