Mark Gustafson, MD

Dr. Gustafson has been one of my providers for about 25 years. By far, my absolute favorite. He has remained consistent in his bedside manner throughout my years in his care. Recently, he even took the time to help my son with referrals when he was having a hard time finding a new PCP. Thank you, Dr. Gus for your years of stellar service!

Dr.Gustafson listens to his patients. He gives great suggestions on vitamins to take as I age. He never rushes me and asks if I have any questions. Hes a great mix of personable and professional and makes me feel comfortable in awkward procedures. I highly recommend Dr Gustafson.

Dr.Gustafson was great talk to me every step of the way. He treats you like a person not a number. I would highly recommend Dr Gustafson he doesn’t make you wait 6 months he’s on it right away and his staff is very friendly.

Dr. Gustafson not only runs an efficient office with very capable staff, he takes the time to talk with you before and after your examination. He cares about his patients. I’ve been going to him for about 20 years, and he has been this consistent the entire time.

I had both of my girls at Lewis Gale… 35 years ago! Moved 3 hours from this office and hospital…. I drive 3 hours each way just to see Dr. Gustofson! He’s that amazing. He delivered my youngest 33 years ago. He knows my family medical history, and is always proactive. I’ve had an elective surgery at this hospital also. Labs are right outside his office, one floor up mammograms. His staff is very fast to response to messages. Thank you for taking time for my concerns if and when I have them.

I’ve been seeing “Dr Gus” for over 25 years. He is knowledgeable and stays current with the most up to date medical knowledge. He takes time to listen and ask questions. He is calm and kind. Many years ago when I was sent to Carilion for the premature birth of my twins he came after hours to check on me. He’s not just a stellar physician but an exceptional person.

Dr. Gustafson has been my doctor for over 25 yrs. He has helped me thru some very difficult issues & all his staff, from front desk to the nurses are always awesome! Won’t go anywhere else for my mammograms or my yearly check ups.

Really enjoyed how efficient and comfortable he made me! As a new patient he invited me to his office, spent 20 mins discussing my history, then the exam lasted all of 10 mins, which I was extremely grateful for (aren’t we all??), and then went back into his office to discuss results. It was quick, it was straightforward, and it was pleasant, which I never thought I would say about a OB/GYN visit!
